got 5th row right beside the Phils dugout! It spit rain almost the
whole time during game2! The Phils didn't really show up until the 9th. 6-0 Braves
going into the 9th and we got within 2. Can't wait to see'em smash
them tomorrow!
Taken from our hotel room. I'm good eh? Pool could use a cleaning but walking to Turner field seems manageable.
After dinner in the stadium bar and watching the Vols fight Florida we got to watch Pedro (he scares me on the mound, but is going to be a hall of famer one day) Martinez warm up in the bullpen.
Pedro warmed up and ready for the Braves + the rain, he must be cursed (asked me, dad or someone close to the Phils for explanation).
How lucky is dad? and/or how awesome am I? (yup! tooted my own horn). Our seats for game 2 and 3 in the series, right at the end of the Phils dugout, thrid base line!
Pedro in, mid chuck.

Day 2!
11am Sunday morning (game starts at 1). Happ throwing some bolts.
Next up, Hamels! We in heaven? Nope! Just the way it is (All Phils pitchers are gods to us Phillies fans). Dude was not a happy camper though! I recall hearing a Fu&@!! produced from the bullpen mound, aka Cole! He obviously wasn't happy with his arm mechanics and he wasn't even pitching that day or the next. World Series MVP part deux? One can only hope! Loves ya Cole!
We headed to the bar to watch some NFL pregrame and get a beer, but shot down! No beer until 12:30! So lunch was had plus a nice convo with the employees about football.
No beer in the bellies, no rain, NFL kickoff, time for some Braves ass kicking! Time to head to our seats!
At our seats, 2 rows down, the Phils pitchers congregate about to warm up. Blanton left, Walker in blue. Lidge is in there as well as some unknown/newcomers.
Kendrick (newish to me and I like him!), Happ (rookie-o-the-year!) and someone I know but can't place walking to warm ups.
Howard returning from a jog, Victorino getting stretched and Ibanez returning to the dugout after a run.
Praying for no rain! I mean saluting the flag during the anthem.
Yup, that's right, not only did we see Pedro pitch, Cliff Lee hit the mound on Sunday! Him and Bako are discussing how they are going to beat down the Braves or how they wish the rain would get the hell outta there! My lip reading skills were not on par during this brief encounter, but surely one of those topics were being discussed!
Welp the praying, talking, hoping didn't work. With the Phillies winning a rain delay was set! I poured! then let up, dad and I walked back down to our seats and it hit again.
We decided it'd be a good idea to leave and listen to the game on the way home. What a good idea! The delay lasted another hour after we left. So we got to listen to the rest off the game/the Phillies beat them on the way home and still made it home at a reasonable hour. The braves scored one run and the Phils maintained their led so we didn't really miss anything besides a Lidge close.
It was a great time and I can't imagine a better way to spend a weekend! Love ya Dad!
