Work showcase

A-D Tech iPhone app! They came to us looking for an app to help organize all their products and info. Illustrating all their different conduits was the most entertaining part of the project. I worked closely with the our developer to get it looking prefect on the phone and I'm proud to say it does. They are still discussing the delivery system but either way at least it looks great!

New life for me?

Defiantly been a crazy week as usually. This week could prove to be the beginning of the rest of my life. Several eye opening events have come to light. The next chapter may have official began. Being vague for now but the story will make it's way to the surface eventually. I have been struggling with this for a long time now and now I'm doing something about it (this is like a pep talk for myself, haha). Time for me to take a stand and do what's best. More to come.

Wheels for the Evo?

This is a new self satisfying, materialistic goal for me in the next year. I have learned in current events that material things are possibly a byproduct of not being happy in life/job, not realizing what you have around you along with not preparing for the future. Alas, I'm still a boy and I like my big boy toys so above is my goal after other financial goals are reached. There is just something about knowing about / walking to and from a car that you love that just makes the day better.

These are Rota Grids, 18x9.5 +20 in Matte Bronze. Need to get them wrapped too.

Been awhile! Week update

Been super busy as you can tell by my last post! Need to get better at managing time that's for sure. To much time wasted on small things. I have started a "time keeping" journal to help better manage my time and be more effective to give me more time on things I want to spend time on.

Well for memories sake here's my week in a nutshell.

Monday
Worked at home. Nice amount of snow. Silas was randomly throwing up so I wanted to keep an eye on him. Watched some Olympics, Boondock Saints and Lord of War while working. Took a lunch break and did the chest and back P90x workout.

Tuesday
More snow but got to work at 7:14am. Had a big project to start Monday but was never contacted about it. Finally got direction and started at 10:30am. Home by 4. I ran a mile and got to work on eCabs changes.

Wednesday
At work by 7:30am. Knocked out Garth so I could get changes, but they never came. Left at 2 for a Webtec photoshoot/meetings. Never heard from anyone at DMG. Ohwell, We got some great images, like this one:

After we went to Albrys to chat, drink and eat. Headed home at 7:30 to watch Shaun White rule the halfpipe and easily take the gold. Dude is a god on a board.

Thursday
Work from 7:30 to 3:30. Had lunch with Mary at Shonos. Our favorite waiter there is leaving for California and yesterday just happen to be his last day there so we got to say bye. We were to the point of not even ordering and he'd bring drinks too. He is hoping to get into the Navy. Hope it all works out for him. After work I run/walked 2 miles. Mary and I headed over to Travis's house to meet his newest family member. Mr. Solomon aka Sol.

Cutest little guy. Travis has wanted a German Shepherd forever and they got really lucky. This little guys mother was hit by a car and rendered unable to care for them and the breeder decided it was best to let a vet care and place them. Travis got on the list for 1 of 4 pups but they all were claimed. He got a call the next day saying there was one left due to a broken commitment. So he grabbed him up. He is so little and clumsy right now, it's hilarious. That last pic is of him with his brother, Dayne. Soon it will be the other way around, haha.

Friday
Work at 7:20 and hopefully leaving at 1 to swing by Webtec to pick up products then off to Clif's to grab some snowboard gear, then up to the Ober for a night of boarding with the bro-in-law and friends.

At the Preds game

James, Canada, Mary and I went to the Preds game tonight. Drove up for the evening. We of course took them to Which Wich. They enjoyed as we thought. Everyone should eat there at least once! After that we headed to our hotel, the Holiday Inn Express right up the street from the Sommet Center. We braved the cold and walked over to the Flying Saucer for some drinks. I was so excited!

They had Strongbow! That place is awesome, besides the fact they allow smoking. You can become a member and you get a slide card and keep track of the beers you drink. They have 200 on tap! If you drink them all you get a gold plate on the wall in the main room. Some folks had even done it multiple times! After a few we headed to the hotel for the tickets then off to the game.

It was a great game even though the Preds lost but it was a close one. 4-3 and the Sharks are the second best team in the league. That was Mary's first time seeing a Nashville team lose.

WebTec tour

Took a tour of WebTec yesterday after a meeting. That place is awesome. A multimillionaire college dropout. Just a sample of his success: They are the sole manufacture of the Breath Rite Strip! Right here in little ol Knoxville. We saw the whole process and it was quite amazing and impressive. They also manufacture several different wound dressings. Another impressive piece was the eye cover for patients eyes when under anesthesia so there eyes don't open. Of course Travis and I tried them out, work pretty good. But he told us that was his first product and the machine creating them was designed by him. He use to run that very machine in his house when first getting started. The tour was about 45 mins but it gave us a great prospective on what WebTec is all about and got us excited to get started.
