Dog watchin' - Holland
We watched Holland, Ben and Allison's dog Monday night. Super, nice great dog. She loves or hates cats though. She was obsessed with Mako, couldn't leave him alone. Mako put her in her place a few times, even drawing blood, but she still came back for more. She spent the majority of her time at our house laying in front of our bedroom door which is where Mako was.
Mary got that great shot of Mako under the couch with Holland's ominousness paw in the foreground.

Great Saturday!
Women's World Cup at soccer taco with Mary, James, Ben and Allison. Then off to the lake with the Henkel's and after a beautiful evening in Seymour with the Invaders, friends, family, home brewed beer and fireworks! The fireworks actually ran us off! There started shooting into the crowd, ha! The best part was Mary was off so we did all this together!!
US women and the Phillies both won too!

New puppy.
Meet Miller! Our newest edition to the family. He is around 6 weeks old. He is a terrier lab mix, all black and makes a perfect fit. One of Mary's co-workers dogs had pups, and it gets a little strange here. The terrier was the female and got impregnated by 2 males so she had 2 different breed mixes. 5 husky pups and 1 lab. The huskies were very beautifully marbled and they had no problems giving them away. But this little guy was another story. Solid black dogs are often over looked, they have some sort of sigma attached to them. "Black labs or lab mixes, are euthanized at a horrifying rate at many pounds & shelters because people pass them up for lighter colored dogs" Mary and I took 2 trips the the pound when looking for our first dog. She liked a small dog the most after looking at all the dogs the 1st trip. Second trip the small dog was gone but we fell in love with our little man Silas, our FIRST all black lab mix. Never crossed our mind to pass on him like most. Anyways (tangent much?) No one wanted this little guy. Mary begged me and I caved, haha. Let the fun begin!

Enzo's first time in the house
Kristen, Mary and I planned to do dinner and a movie tonight. We decided to leave Enzo and Silas in the house, we had been leaving them in the garage. Well, Mary got to feeling bad at dinner so we decided to skip the movie and headed home. Little side note: I thought I heard a guy at Downtown Grill say he worked with the Knoxville Thunderbolts the new NBA team. I was flipping out. I discovered later that he said ABA, ohwell not a big b-ball fan anyways. Ok back to the original story. We got home and I helped Mary in the house and as soon as the door opened, BAM, that all to familiar smell. Enzo made a mess that rivals a port-a-potty at a champion chili eating contest. Below is my cleaning crew but I'm still going to have to blast it with a carpet cleaner.

Ohwell he's still a pup, but god I hope it gets the picture soon! Outside potty, inside not.

Our new dog Enzo
Saturday morning I walked silas in the pouring rain. After, I was in the garage drying him off and watched a black Camry drive by real slow. I let silas in the house and started cleaning up in the garage a little and the Camry drove by again, faster. Then out of the corner of my eye I noticed something in the street out in the rain. It was Silas! Oh, wait! No it's not.
It was a little black dog just like Silas. I walked towards him but he hid behind Clif's truck (we were borrowing it to go to Ikea) but I got down on one knee and he came right up to me. After some petting I decided to get Mary. I woke her up telling her to come in the garage quick. Her expression was priceless. "I didn't let Silas out! Oh, wait that's not Silas!"
Well we haven't heard anything from the fliers we put up around the condo area. He is on the list of found dogs at the shelter. In 2 weeks if he goes unclaimed he will be ours.
He goes to the vet today for shots. He is also whining a lot for some reason.
