Very interesting fact I just learned. Todd Helton currently has the best batting average against the Phillies! .377! My mom taught him and introduced me to him when he was in high school and I also met him when he played for the vols! Small small world!

Our year anniversary!

Mary and I took a trip to one of our favorite places to celebrate the best year of our life. The Melting Pot! We both ate WAY to much and couldn't even finish the dessert! We assumed our year old cake wouldn't cut it. We got home, let our stomachs settle and pulled out the aged cake. We just dug in, cheers'd our folks and took a bite. Shockingly it wasn't bad. We only had 2 bites each but planned to try again later.

Look what popped up!

Mary swung by her folks to pick up a little something that has been in hiding for...say...a year! :) Can't wait to try it on Sunday.

Great day! US advances and iPhone 4!

Rolled to Soccer Taco today around 9:15am to catch the US and England cup games. What a nail bitter! After another goal that was called back we went into the half tied 0-0. England had put a goal up on Slovenia. If things stand Slovenia and England would advance to round 2 leaving US to finish 3rd in the group. We played well and had numerous changes to bury it. In the 93rd minute a breakaway that looked similar to a few before it took place. Donavon passes to Altidore and he rips a shot...blocked...Donavon, like any good player follows the play. Him and the ball are left wide open...him, the ball and the back of the net. Soccer Taco erupts as the ball meets the back of the net! A minute left in the game, England game over with a victory we secure the win. It brought tears to my eyes, it was just incredible!

During the game I check FedEx.com a few times in hopes of an update on where my iPhone 4 was, nothing. So I headed home after the game. I pull into the complex as the FedEx guy pulls out. You think I missed him and didn't get it? Nope! I left a pre-signed notification on the front door for him to just leave it!

A must have winter item!

Apple Store - Your iPhone will deliver on June 23rd

Email I received this morning!

"Dear Apple Store Customer,

You recently received a Shipment Notification email from Apple advising you that your iPhone has shipped.

This email is to confirm that your delivery will occur on June 23rd."

How awesome is that? Apparently they are trying to lighten the load of activations on AT&Ts system on the launch date. Whatever the reason, who cares, I get my iPhone4 tomorrow!

Saw this at Krogers today and had to get it!

My fav meal after a horrible "defeat"

Wacthed the US cup game up at Soccer Taco with several folks and man
was it great. Everyone there was in to it and I even lost my voice
yelling. We tied it up in the second after being down 2-0. On a set
piece we put it in the back of the net for the go ahead goal, Soccer
Taco erupted!! Then silence followed by yelling and boos. Offsides,
you're kidding me! Total onside goal on replay. What a blow to the
heart. Final was 2-2 but the US team deservered more!

So to fix things barleys helped me out. Cajun chicken sandwich a beer
and shot of jagar! Plead England tie!!

Pre-ordered iPhone4

The pre-orders for the iPhone4 started today. Their system was down for a while but I got my order in. Apple decided to not let the public know the white one wasn't available until the morning of pre-order. Mary really wants the white one so she decided to hold out.

It has since shipped and will be at my door on the 24th!

The day has finally come! The 2010 World Cup in South Africa has started! Been waiting a long time for this and I'm super excited it's here! I plan to watch / listen to every game!

Update: It's now Sunday and I have watched every game so for! US played well against England but ended in a 1-1 draw. Slovenia got a win this winning putting them first in our group. Should make it interesting in the weeks to come.

Strasburgs debut

After all the hype and crazy over this kid Stephen Strasburg I decided to watch the game. He was a first round draft pick by the Nationals last year. He struck out 14 batters with no walks. Gave up 4 hits and one homer. 36 of his pitches were 98mph or higher. The kid has some crazy movement too. With the Nationals drafting Bryce Harper (590 foot homerun hitter) the day before. This team could be scary in the next couple of years. Good news for them, haven't had a winning record since the 60s, but horrible for us Phillies fans!
