Tybee Island and Savannah

We got up this morning and met my folks at the beach. We rode into to downtown Tybee in the Flex and did a little shopping. Had lunch at Fannies then headed back into Savannah to meet the rest of the family. Mary and I made a trip to the SCAD book store for some gear. We both got a hoodie and a shirt.

After we gathered with the family we headed down to river street for some shopping and drinks.

Mary, dad and I have ship shots! It's a dollar house shot you get when a ship passes through. After drinks we headed to the islands for dinner at Cafe Loco.

After dinner we headed back and had ice cream at Leopold's. It's owned by a movie producer.

Savannah trip

Carolyn Mary and I drove to Savannah last night to meet up with mom dad Beth Jim and Grandmom today. They are flying in this morning. It's strange being back but I'm excited to see the place. Hopefully the weather stays nice.

How about the suite Caroyln got us?! In a new Hampton inn and cheap.

Fall league softball game 3

Finally made it back into the lineup last night as we took the field for game 3. I DH, hitting 10th. Our bats were hot! I went up in the first with a man on second and third and no outs! 2 RBI single! The inning ends 10 - 0. The D held up and only allowed one run! My next at bat was an RBI double and I slid into second under the short. I was knocked in and we went on to second a few more runs. My 3rd and finally at bat was a RBI fly out. The game ended after the 4th inning with the slaughter rule. Thanks the Michael's inside the park homer! Finished up 18-1! That's more like it!

They had lost the previous 2 games without me so I guess I'm a lucky charm, hehe.

Evo Update

Michael, James and I put the Evo back together over the weekend and took it to Factech. They were having a dyno day so it was a little crazy and I didn't get to speak with Mark. Man the thing smoked bad the whole way there. Poor thing.

Got an email yesterday and Mark has found the culprit. After a compression and leak down check:

They stuck a boroscope down cylinder 4 and found some piston melting around the piston crown. It's on the intake side, which would be a sign of too much ignition timing. It will have to be bored out .20 and new pistons are now a must.

I planned to build the motor in the future so it can handle my power goals so this isn't too upsetting. So the plan now is to completely rebuild the bottom end. So now I'm awaiting a quote for parts, labor and a tune.

Fingers crossed its within my budget...yeah right.

Phillies & Titans!

Watching the Phils play the Stros and the Titans second preseason game. Titans first string looked great on both sides of the ball. VY was great and CJ got his second preseason TD! I'm ready excited for the season to start.

New additions to the neighborhood

I really feel this is unnecessary, we paid landscapers why cant they do it? Most the time our guys go in the tall glass so picking up isn't necessary. Feel sorry for the folks who's dogs go right in yards.

They spent a good part of the day cutting a tree down that had fallen from Travis's neighbors yard. We ate at wok hay after and it was awesome as usual. We also found out they have large beers, we never knew that.

Dad traded in his Pacifica yesterday for a new ford flex. The thing is loaded and fits him very well! I love that every seat has a sunroof. It has a ton of tech, nav, ford sync, a cooler and even I plug for...say... a computer. Can't wait to borrow it.

iPhone4 case

Trying out a case. This is only my second one ever. It's Brian's free one. He already had a case. It's ok but I still LOVE the feel of the phone itself.

Horrible horrible NFL hats!

The sideline hats the teams have been wearing the last few years are just HORRIBLE! I mean look at that thing! It's hideous. It's like a throwback to the earlier 90s, puke! They seem to just get worse every year too. With all the amazing artists and hat designs out there you'd think they could come up with something cooler. I guess the target market leads to these horrible things? It's the nascar gear theory I guess. Now that I think about there really isn't any cool NFL hats. Just a few, the throw backs (I'm actually wearing a Oilers Mitchell & Ness now) are nice but there are only a few.

Ohwell, I have a feeling I'll be saying, "Maybe next year?" for quite a while.

Movie night and bad sports news...

Travis and I had our movie night last night and chose Salt. The movie was at 4 so we missed the first few minutes due to arriving late at the bar for our normal liquid cocaine and white mule.

The movie overall was pretty good. It did a very good job of keeping me entertained and guessing what was going to happen next. The plot line was unique and things had to develop quite a bit before I could on.

My problems with it were the little things that go unanswered like the director is thinking, eehhh the audience isn't paying attention so jump! An example, she is hiding out in a taxi after busting out of a building followed by pursuers, no shoes, no purse just a phone. Next cut she is on the street looking at her destination. How did she pay for the taxi ride? Little things like that show that its just a movie and the writers, directors and producers don't care. Haha, really not a big deal but... Next was leaving it open for a sequel. Just doesn't seem like the story line was built up enough for me to enjoy a 2nd one. I mean it wasn't a Borne movie.


After leaving the movie I had to check if rumors had come to light. Unfortunately they had! The Braves acquired Derek Lee from the Cubs. He will replace Troy Glaus at first while Glaus goes on the DL . Glaus will more than likely rehab in the minors then come back to the Braves at his original position, 3rd base.

This puts them in a very good position after losing Chipper. They are going to very hard to catch and extremely hard to beat in the post-season.

Interesting tidbit. The Braves start a series with the Cubs on Friday. That should be interesting!

Hope the Phils have their dancing shoes on cause this is going to be quite a show.

Titans game 2010!

We are going to the Eagles game this year! I'm a Titans fan first so sorry Eagles. Kolb has at least one lose on his future! Haha!

Been drinking a lot of wine lately and this is the latest. Love the label! Hope the wine is just as good.

Enzos nugget

So late night I was petting Enzo and noticed a huge bump on his chin. After so research online we assumed it was a bee king or allergic reaction. The swelling went down over night but not enough to not warrant a vet visit. Dr. D said it was most likely an infected hair follicle/acne so medicine was introduced. Hopefully everythings ok.

Evo is sick

Took the evo apart today thinking the turbo needed rebuilding. The turbo is fine. The valve seals to bad and need to be replaced.

More ram!!

Hooray, more ram for my work machine!! Thing has been super slow and annoying. Going from 1.5 gbs to 3 should help a ton.

Wingless Evo

I have gone wingless to give it a try. Now at night cars behind me won't be turning their lights on and off. :)

I finally got my drum set back!! Now time to sell her to stink some cash into the Evo.

My grandparents season tickets have finally found there way to me! The father in law and mom and pops help out so there not all ours but its great to still have them in the family.

Halladay shines!

Halladay got win number 13 last night and helped from the opposite side of the mound with 2 RBI. Let's just hope this performance rubs off on Roy 2 and smoke'em on Thursday.

Night out

Mary and I had a nice dinner with Ben and Allison at Downtown Grill. We had a great time and it is so awesome to reunite with an old friend. Ben and were bestest buds when we were little guys. Play soccer together for the Knoxville Stars as well. We are hoping to hang out more and I have been wondering why it has taken so long for us to become friends again. We are pretty much just alike, minus the part that he has an 8 year old son.

We are also in discussion with them about the trip to Brazil in 2014!

New hat for the collection!

Be eying this one for a while and finally ordered it. I'm really liking my Whalers Mitchell & Nell. It seems to have a better fit and feel to it than the New Eras.
