Titans game day!

Woke up to a beautiful day and a great view! We got up and started the morning around 8:30 central and head to the tailgate. It was the same one we went to last year with the gotitans.com guys.
Not to many folks there but we were welcome and had a great time.
The burgers and hot dogs were great!
We were playing Buffalo, get it?
They came prepared with the satellite TV so we didn't miss a thing.

We bought some gotitans shirts and decided to take them back to the room and head to the game. We said bye and headed that way.
Someone was rolling in style to the game, to bad they pick yellow, yuck!
Right outside, almost there!

Inside and our seats are at up there! Actually they are to the left of that little room up there. That's were the cameras are housed, the one for the main shot on tv. Walking up to our seats!
Almost there!
VY and Bulluck high fivin' and CJ walking to the sidelines. Of course with a camera in his face.
Good ole TO
Mary got her preztel again.
The defense coming out.
The team was introduced and CJ came out with an Amreican flag at the end. Since veterans day was during the week they celebrated it at the game.

Field sized flag! Styx sang the national anthem.
The F-16 fly over! I knew it was coming
Opening kickoff. We went 3 and out and the Bills scored on there opening drive.
At halftime each branch of the military was introduced.
Titans owner Bud Adams made an appearance. He is right above the "eck" in Wycheck in the blue coat. Roger Goodell, the NFL commissioner, was there as well! After the game and after Goodell left the booth to go hang out with fans Bud was busted. Bud started quite the bird flipping route towards the Bills bench. There has been a long rivalry between the Oilers/Titans and Bills. Will he lite them up with left and right birds. I didn't see it happen but heard about it later on ESPN. I thought it was pretty hilarious but the Roger Goodell didn't. Bud was fined $250,000! Chump change to him but wow!
This is in the fourth quarter after an INT they decided to bench Trent Edwards for Ryan Fitzpatrick. Bad idea. You can see in the pic Fitzpatrick had just released the ball to a seemingly open TO (right at the arrow in the 30 year mark). You can also see Fuller reading the pass and he jumps it. Fuller gets a hand on it and pops it right over TOs head straight into the waiting arms of Ron Hood (37). Hood returned it for a TD, the finally nail in the coffin.
Victory is ours! 41-17! Mary is now 4-0 in Nasvhille at Titans games and 6-0 counting the Preds games!
Seating at our seats.
Walking back to the hotel.
Stopped by the gas station for a snack.

We chilled at the hotel for a while and had planned to walk over to Hooters to watch the Pats Colts game. We decided to just stay in and order some pizza. Of course Mary was out right after dinner and I followed soon after. Really sucks I missed the rest of the game. Love watching the Pats lose! haha.

Off to Nashville for our Sports weekend!

Getting ready to head to Nashville, just packed the car (Joey let us borrow the TL) and made sure we had the most important thing! The Preds and Titans tix. We loaded up and left at 11:30am, next stop Which Wich in downtown Nashville. We listened to the Vols game and as I said all week to the folks that said we were going to stomp Ole' Miss, "Watch out for Dexter!" Dexter McCluster ran all over us. If he translates will into the NFL he WILL be the next CJ! We got to Nashville and hit up the very crowded Which Wich, by far the BEST sandwich shop on the planet! I had my wicked and Mary got a Philly and we headed to the hotel.

We got to the hotel and I headed over to the local gas station. This is the view of my whole walk for the hotel to the gas station. Not a bad one if I must say. I got two 24oz Miller Lites for $3.26 (this comes up again later, so remember that) and headed back to enjoy a cold one and watch some football while Mary...guess...yup, while Mary naps, haha!

Heading downtown to find a bar to hang out at before the Preds game. This is right outside LP field. Our hotel is just a short walk to downtown. We decided on a bar we went to last year before a preseason game. The Paradise Park Trailer Resort. It very enjoyable to hang out there. Even got a free beer for wearing a Preds shirt. There was a cover band, which had a sub par singer but it wasn't there normal singer. The crowd was fun, Preds, Canadians, Titans, Vols fans all over.

We headed to the game and found our seats. They were awesome. Front row of the 3rd balcony.

The game was one! The Preds instantly opened with a onslaught of shots. They were looking good!

Some action

After the first period operation soft pretzel was on! We head they were only on the first floor so we headed back down. Mary decided she wanted some shorts she found in the pro shop so she headed there and left me to go the mission alone. I got her to grab me a Jordan Tootoo shirt jersey too. Guess what his number is?! You say 22 then you're right! So I troll the concession stands and don't see any pretzels, bummer! I loop back and head to customer service to ask, on my trip there I glance over to the last stand, which I did walk by previously, and guess what I see, the freakin' pretzels, geeezzz. I grab 2 and head over to find Mary.

I guess you noticed the beer in the pic. Remember my last beer purchase? Well this was a purchase of the same amount of beer at a slight mark up. Two 24oz'ers of Miller Lite from a bar tenderer with a 3 dollar tip at a price of $8.50, 20 bucks! I could of bought almost 6 at the gas station for that! The price we pay for locational beer!

Welp, the Preds win but should of been by a ton more! Look at those shots on goal!! That's insane. Not surprisingly the Canadians goalie was the 3rd star of the game with 52 saves!

From our seats

Leaving the Sommit.

We headed to the Brewery for another drink but didn't hang out long. We thought we'd grab some food but ended up calling it a night and head back to the hotel.

At this point Mary is 5-0 for Nashville teams when we have come. That includes 3 Titans games and 1 previous Preds game and tonight's game. Let's just hope her streak continues into tomorrow!!

Vols Homecoming Party

Since Mary's dad is back and Mary was going to be off for the game we decided to have a little party. Brandon came and got there before anyone else. Him Mary and I talk for a while in the kitchen about life and such. Right around kickoff time Jim, James, Michael, Joey, Byrd, and Sean showed up. We made several dips and all immigrated into the living room. Going into the second quarter Brandon, after a shot and 2 beers passed out. Just fell asleep and was out like a light. Sean was sitting next to him and decided it'd be funny to swamp out his beer (yeah, fell asleep with a beer in his hand) with the mustard bottle. I thought, no way he is going to wake up. Well, I was wrong, he sure didn't!
Sean and Brandon just met and I wish a tad worried about how he would react upon waking up. I have seen him go a little crazy over small situations. He woke up slowly and was just like, "what the?.." We had a laugh and watched the rest of the game.

Brandon went out a smoked and came back in. He stood by the door and I joined him. He didn't seem very happy, I think he was a little uncomfortable with all the people he didn't know being there. Also his girlfriend was at the game with one of her girlfriends who he show a dislike for and mentioned she was a bad influence. We chatted and watched the rest of the game. After he decided to head home, said bye and hit the road.

The next day he calls me with some bad news. He decided to drive up Kingston Pike and find some food. In the process he ran a red light. Well you guessed it, I policeman was within view and pulled him over. He had his leftover beers in the car and I can only assume this is the reason the officer decided to initiate the field sobriety test. I would not of let him drive if I didn't think he was able, his house isn't just right down the street either. He failed the test was not given a breathalyzer test and was arrested. He made it clear for me he has horrible balance and can't walk heel to toe. Well the officer moved his car into a private parking lot and took him to the station.

Upon checking him into jail, still with no blood/alc tests they say since this is your 4th offense you have too... Brandon interrupted him. "This is my first offense! I have had one DUI and that was before I was 21, over 9 years ago and shouldn't be on my record due to the circumstances!" The officer responds, "It says right here it's your 4th DUI." There was no changing their minds and Brandon was obviously furious. This actually happened to him the first time, they got him confused with another Brandon. Another strange thing is as he's telling me about the multiple Brandon Jones confusion I'm watching the 49er's Brandon Jones on TV against the Titans. So bail was set for a 4 time offender and Brandon spent the night in jail. Wasn't given a phone call until 4 hours later and finally got out at 1:30pm Sunday due to bail being so much.

As much as I hate to say it and as much as I like to think the police are there to serve and protect and I have never had a problem with law enforcement but something smells fishy. Upon returning to his car, which is luckily is still there he finds a nice sized scratch down the side that he knows wasn't there.

He is going to fight this due to mistaken identity and the round about way the situation went down. He has asked me if I'd be prepared to write a statement if needed and I agreed. I really hope this goes well for him, he seems to be in a tough spot in his life right now.

Phillies game 5.

Phillies lost a tough game 4 in Philly on Sunday night. They had it in the bag but it slipped through their fingers. Welp Monday night is a new night, Cliff Lee on the mound and a must win situation. Yanks leading the series 3-1. James and Dave were lucky enough to have tickets.

From their seats before the game

Dave holding one of their signs. Guess they aren't a fan of Joe Buck. He is one of the commentators on Fox.

The Phillies pulled out a win 8-6 on Chase Utley's back. He tied a World Series record with 5 homers in the series. Tied with the great Reggie Jackson! We are now off to game 6 in NYC with Pedro taking the mound. It's being said that Andy Pettite will pitch on only 3 days rest. He's older and the last time he went on 3 days rest was 6 years ago, he did pretty good but 6 years ago? Things are looking up and took a huge swing in the Phillies direction!

Shootin

Jinx and I went shooting today. We headed to the rifle range range and
it was a 45 minute wait! So we decided to head to Bryd's. Jinx didn't
know we shot there so it was new to him. We decided we are going to
make a stand a booth to hang targets. Jinx recently acquired a musket
load rifle and wanted to try it out. It was very fun and nice to
shoot! Jinx loved the AR.
