Today Travis met me at the studio to help me out with a Harley-Davidson product shoot. We went to Barley's for lunch and Mike D text him asking if he wanting to go to the sneak peak of Zombieland tonight. He had an extra ticket which allows two people in. He invited me and the date was set!
We met up early and headed to Smoky Mountain Brewery and had a few drinks before we headed to the movie. We met up with Mike D and Megan and made our way in. As soon as we turned the corner into the packed theater I see a hand go up, it's Will, with his girl. We said hi and when ventured out for some seats. Of course the only thing available is lower seats close to the screen. We got 4 in the center of a row about 8 rows back, it really wasn't that bad. I actually like sitting down there, really lets you know your in a theater.
Well, since this is a sneak peak it's sponsored, so some of the 104.5 DJs were there and each got a slice of time to speak to the audience. I don't know anything about the DJs, nor had I ever heard of them but the first dude up was a stocky little, loud mouth type of dude. He was wearing a MLB hat backwards so I couldn't see the team, I assumed it was the Braves. He was doing his thing and I was sorta listening and talking with Travis when I hear, "There's a guy up here wearing a Phillies champs shirt." See example:
I was in fact wearing that shirt. Not sure what sparked him to say that but I proceeded to yell, "Yeah that's right!" or something along those lines. He then says, "Yeah, probably just another bandwagon fan!" I then respond, "I was at game 4, 10-2! What were you doing that night?" then added, "The Braves suck" and he responded,"Yeah they do!" I could of railed into him but I bailed. What even causes someone to say that? A bandwagon fan? Really? He doesn't know me. I have been a Phillies fan since before I even knew what baseball was, due to my pops. I mean my name is eerily similar to my teams name. (I know that's not why, but I like to think it has a little something to do with it.) He went on with his routine and finally turned around so I could see the logo on his hat. Man! I wish I had known it was the freakin Mets before our little encounter! They are one of the worse teams in the league and judging by our brief encounter and his "quick to snap" attitude he knows it. In fact I'd be willing to bet I know more about the Mets than him too! Darryl Strawberry was one of my favs and I even remember seeing Dwright Gooden (Mets pitcher) hit a homer when I was wee. Ohwell, Phillies clinch the NL East and the Mets loss by a walk off grand slam to the Nationals, which are only the worse team in the NL, just barely nudging out the Mets.
Ok to the movie, simple, easy review. The BEST zombie movie I have ever seen! Well thought out, funny, smart, well filmed, and awesome motion graphics. I look forward to seeing it again.
After the movie we went to Brixx and had a buffalo chicken and a pepporani with jalapeno pizzas. Then we adjourned to meet up with Matt and Dan at a little club of Kingston pike to check out a band. It was nice to see a small show in a small space, I really enjoy that. After that we headed to the Old City to play some Adams Family pinball. That was fun then we decided to head home and it was only 2am. Needless to say, I slept in a tad and didn't get to work until 10.

AR-15 on its way!
This Saturday marks a 6 months since I placed my order with Del-Ton for my AR kit. Welp, it shipped on Wednesday! They are located in Elizabethtown, NC so I didn't expect shipping to take long and it's not going to. It's scheduled to arrive on Monday! Only thing is, signature is required. So I'll have to work at home or leave work early. UPS usually comes around 2pm, I believe, but I have been waiting so long I don't know if I want to chance it.
I also asked nicely if they'd throw in a shirt for my patience and the lady said she'd try and asked my size. I'm hoping there's a nice little surprise accompanying my AR. :)

Titans Titans Titans...
Titans did it yet again, cocked the gun pointed it at the enemy, and fired. DING...barely missed the target, DING...ding...finally lodging itself nicely in our own foot. We got a great led only to blow it with a horrible secondary showing and Collins just can't drive the team to field goal position when it counts. But man..Johnson is a beast! 3 plays over 50 yards for TDs, one being a 90 yard rush. He is so fun to watch and just sucks his record day is tarnished with a loss and even worse a loss to the Texans!
I really hope he can get half of that this weekend against the Jets. They are super hot right now and it's going to take some work to knock them off that high horse. Should be a good game just hope we can pull it out in the end...fingers crossed.
I was right about Pittsburgh, I said they'd lose after playing us and oh look they lost, hahahaha!
Side note:
Had to cut the gotee!

Phillies V Braves
Dad and I drove down to ATL today for game 2 and 3 of the series. We
got 5th row right beside the Phils dugout! It spit rain almost the
whole time during game2! The Phils didn't really show up until the 9th. 6-0 Braves
going into the 9th and we got within 2. Can't wait to see'em smash
them tomorrow!

Taken from our hotel room. I'm good eh? Pool could use a cleaning but walking to Turner field seems manageable.
After dinner in the stadium bar and watching the Vols fight Florida we got to watch Pedro (he scares me on the mound, but is going to be a hall of famer one day) Martinez warm up in the bullpen.
Pedro warmed up and ready for the Braves + the rain, he must be cursed (asked me, dad or someone close to the Phils for explanation).
How lucky is dad? and/or how awesome am I? (yup! tooted my own horn). Our seats for game 2 and 3 in the series, right at the end of the Phils dugout, thrid base line!
Pedro in, mid chuck.

Day 2!
11am Sunday morning (game starts at 1). Happ throwing some bolts.
Next up, Hamels! We in heaven? Nope! Just the way it is (All Phils pitchers are gods to us Phillies fans). Dude was not a happy camper though! I recall hearing a Fu&@!! produced from the bullpen mound, aka Cole! He obviously wasn't happy with his arm mechanics and he wasn't even pitching that day or the next. World Series MVP part deux? One can only hope! Loves ya Cole!
We headed to the bar to watch some NFL pregrame and get a beer, but shot down! No beer until 12:30! So lunch was had plus a nice convo with the employees about football.
No beer in the bellies, no rain, NFL kickoff, time for some Braves ass kicking! Time to head to our seats!
At our seats, 2 rows down, the Phils pitchers congregate about to warm up. Blanton left, Walker in blue. Lidge is in there as well as some unknown/newcomers.
Kendrick (newish to me and I like him!), Happ (rookie-o-the-year!) and someone I know but can't place walking to warm ups.
Howard returning from a jog, Victorino getting stretched and Ibanez returning to the dugout after a run.
Praying for no rain! I mean saluting the flag during the anthem.
Yup, that's right, not only did we see Pedro pitch, Cliff Lee hit the mound on Sunday! Him and Bako are discussing how they are going to beat down the Braves or how they wish the rain would get the hell outta there! My lip reading skills were not on par during this brief encounter, but surely one of those topics were being discussed!
Welp the praying, talking, hoping didn't work. With the Phillies winning a rain delay was set! I poured! then let up, dad and I walked back down to our seats and it hit again.
We decided it'd be a good idea to leave and listen to the game on the way home. What a good idea! The delay lasted another hour after we left. So we got to listen to the rest off the game/the Phillies beat them on the way home and still made it home at a reasonable hour. The braves scored one run and the Phils maintained their led so we didn't really miss anything besides a Lidge close.
It was a great time and I can't imagine a better way to spend a weekend! Love ya Dad!

Work Showcase
We were asked to do a mock up of a USB Drive app for Home In A Flash. I'm really digging this idea and I would use this product if it were available on the market. I can't really get into details but some are conveyed visually in the the comps .
These are the initial comps before a logo was sent.
After client feedback and working in their logo this is were it landed.

On on daily walk...
And ran across this little Fiat out in front of Java in the Old City.
Looks like a taxi or some marketers car. Right hand drive, european
plates and a crazy rear moon roof. Pretty neat little car.

Titans beat the Steelers!!...oh wait...what??...the Steelers???...
The Steelers won?? Wow? Are you kidding me? How? Why? Roethlisberger had 363 yards but thats it!! Titans MISSED 2 filed goals...plan and simple. Titans out them easily minus the let down in the second half. Obviously this to me (and other Titans fans only!!) this has show we can hang. We BEAT the "NFL Champs" (not worth that title if you ask me, I mean the Cardinals into the 4th, you kidding me????) easily, had we not missed TWO 2 TWO fields ourselves. Right? That game was won and lost by US and US only! The Steelers had 1 maybe 2 good drives (the whole game!) and we last!
Add is up! 5 scoring chances versus 3. Steelers scored on each (THREE changes ONLY!!!!!!!) The 3rd coming in OT. Basically PROVING the OT rules in NFL SUCKS!!!!!!! But never the less the Titans beat themselves AS USUALLY!!!
Hey at least they hurt Hair (didn't need too), their only GOOD defensive player, haha! I promise they WILL LOSE the next game they play with or without Hair...sorry &^$%burgh that's the way we roll!
You're welcome Sixburgh we'll see you in the playoffs assuming you can make it through the season with that weak D and sacktastic QB.
PS. HEY MEDIA!!, Did you know there's a new NFL team??? They are called the Titans and are located in Tennessee, use to be the Houston Oilers!? They are pretty good, you should check them out!
From Media:
Dear Titans fan,
I'm sorry! I'm a sports analyst with ESPN (NFL.com. NFLNetwork, SI Mag. SI.com, Every Sports Media Outlet) and I have never heard of said team the...Tennessee Titans you speak of. But I do seem to recall the Houston Oilers...Warren Moon, QB right?! Earl Campbell that running back dude they had?...yeah...I seem to recall those guys!

Madden 10
I got a great package deal of Sports Illustrated for 6 months and
Madden 10 for PS3 for free. Interesting they went with 2 players from
the Superbowl on the cover. VY is still recovering from the curse so
maybe it's a way to try and put an end to the Madden curse.

AR-15 parts building
I completely forgot to post my new AR parts I got a while back until I got my most recent pieces. I got 2 windowed dark earth pmags!
This is one loaded with Winchester 45 GR. JHPs!
This shows my collect of parts before the pmags. The Daniel Defense rail I got nice and cheap from a ar15armory.com forum member and an ergo grip I got from the Householders as a wedding gift! How cool is that?
The Householders joked all night with me that both gifts in the bag from them were for me. And they sure were! The grip and lingerie for Mary. hehe!
I should have the rest within the month. Totally should of gone another path for an AR but who knows I might of lost interest! hahaha yeeeeaaaahhhhhh right! I already have a parts list for my second!
